“Finding Streams of Life in Desert Seasons”

The desert may not be on your bucket list for vacation this year. The barren, dry, seemingly lifeless land is less than inviting. Yet, the prophet Isaiah painted a beautiful picture when he said, “Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.” (Isaiah 35:6) Each Lent, we are invited to journey through a season of self-reflection. This concept can seem daunting and even frightening. However, there is good news! It is during desert seasons that God beckons us to come closer and listen for the soulful sound of the stream.

We invite you to pack your bag and join retreat facilitator Meg Castellini for an overnight Lenten journey. This retreat will offer opportunities to experience streams of life in the desert through prayer and reflection upon familiar desert scenes in Scripture.
