“Looking Godward: Noticing God’s Presence in Prayer and in Life”
God wants to be known to us. Repeatedly in both the Old Testament and the New, we hear of God’s desire that we might come to “know the Lord” and “know Christ Jesus.” Starting with this assumption, Jim’s two presentations will consider what it means to develop a more contemplative stance in our lives – that is, to become more attentive to God’s self-revelation in our prayer and in life. A most helpful focus as we enter into Lent!

Jim Krisher is the founder and director emeritus of the Spiritual Renewal Center in Syracuse. A large part of Jim’s work currently is individual spiritual direction with pastors and other persons in ministry. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the religious studies department of Le Moyne College, where he teaches courses in New Testament and Christian spirituality. Jim has written numerous articles on scripture and spirituality, and is the author of SPIRITUAL SURRENDER: YIELDING YOURSELF TO A LOVING GOD, released in 1997 by Twenty-Third Publications, and a second book, titled THE ONGOING WORK OF JESUS: HIS MISSION IN OUR LIVES.
